Website

I made a new website under Google. It is here. I put my English 1010 paper in it, so there you go.

Also, I moved the date for my Nauvoo trip, so I leave tomorrow the 29th and get back around the fifth.

College

Well, the summer is here, and there it goes. I had about three days of summer break before I went back to school, this time with the concurrent enrollment summer program. Oh, the price of an early associates degree is not cheap. But I do have something to look forward to this summer.

I am planning a trip to Nauvoo. I will leave the twenty-third of July with a hometown friend and return the thirtieth. This will interrupt the college classes I am taking, but will be my only vacation, and a really good one at that. I need the relaxation.

I was recently looking around at some pictures I had uploaded to facebook of myself and found this one:

Which is probably the coolest picture of me in existence. It's not photoshopped, which makes it even cooler. It reminds me of the innocence of youth and the purity of nature.

Oh well, the past is the past, and we can do nothing but work with what we have in hopes of a brighter future.
I am writing a really good essay in my English 1010 class that I might put up here when I finish it. The main topic is music that has shaped my life, and that is suitably post worthy for this blog.

The First Movement

Well, this being the first post, I had better start with the basics. I love music(k). I like especially piano music, and classical is the ultimate genre as far as I am concerned. Recently I've been practicing 12 Variations by Mozart, Flight of the Bumblebee by Rimsky0Korsakoff, and trying Etude in C# minor by Chopin. Now, Etude is an extremely difficult song, and I think it's above my expertise level right now, which is why I'm working on the other two. I think I can get 12 Variations down in about a month if I work on it, and Flight memorized, if not up to speed in the same time.
I've really been picking up my practice time in the past week; I'm up to about 3 hours a day. My friend's mother (an accomplished pianist) said that when you end up spending that much time playing piano, you skills increase more than you thought they could. I'm planning on becoming a virtuoso (someday), so I guess I'd better keep it up.
I got the music I'm working on from Piano Sheet Music - pianostreet.com. It's an awesome website. There are some song's you can download with a silver (Free) membership, but the full collection is available with the Gold membership. I've got gold, and so new music is within my grasp.
That's not all I do though... I've been trying to learn Japanese, too. There are some very good resources available online such as 日本語資源 - Nihongoresources.com. This site has an excellent series of lessons, which I am going through and would recommend to anyone interested in learning Japanese.
